Lucid Body Basics Level 1
Created and developed by Fay Simpson, Lucid Body is an internationally respected training method that, for the first time, is being offered in Philadelphia as a four-week intro course!

What is Lucid Body?
Lucid Body is a psychophysical process for actors, rooted in Jungian psychology, and enriched by yogic practice and the chakra system, offering a pathway to deeper self-exploration and authentic embodiment of character

Level 1: The Basics
Over the course of four weeks, each class opens with a yoga-based warm-up, then moves into physical acting exercises that guide students toward releasing habitual patterns and accessing a fuller range of expression. In Basics Level 1, we establish a shared vocabulary to recognize the breadth of human behavior present within us all. From there, we move beyond the familiar and step into less-explored aspects of “self.” Finally, this four-week series culminates in the creation and embodiment of complex, authentic characters. Classes are rigorous, exploratory, and deeply engaging.
