Service Description
Join us for the second chapter of a year-long investigation of the craft and legacies left by some of the world’s greatest theatrical innovators. For 8 consecutive weeks participants will gather as an ensemble and, through a lab-based approach, explore the teachings of a single theatrical giant at a time. Participants will gather as an ensemble and, through a lab-based approach, explore the teachings of a single theatrical giant at a time. "Lucid Body" is a fascinating and deeply impactful chakra based acting technique that has been championed by actors such as Winston Duke, Michael Howard, Lupita Nyong'o, and Ken Barnett. It is important to note that Broken Mirror Lab courses are an ensemble based, collaborative exploration of techniques, rather than a traditional class with an expert teacher. Our goal with this unique long-term study is twofold: 1) To provide the rare and exciting opportunity for participants to immerse themselves in a diverse collection of theatrical techniques. 2) To begin forging a dedicated company of actors interested in the continued pursuit of theatrical growth, exploration, and creation.
